Self-diagnostic control panel with fifty-three programmable functions as well as an RS-232 serial port for integration with a Building Management System (BMS) further enhances the EBC 30's superior design and functionality. On-board "plug-and-play" feature also automatically detects connections, setting requirements and accessories during its initial setup period.
 
The EBS 30 features an advanced integrated safety system. An automatic lockout feature will shut down monitored appliances if an adequate draft can not be maintained or in the event of a control, electrical, or mechanical failure. However,  an automatic priority operation system will allow as many appliances as possible to operate without mechanical draft assistance if the system calculates that it is safe to do so. Although the standard control is limited to interlock with no more that six heating appliances, an unlimited number of additional appliances can be monitored by using an additional relay board or the ES 12 Relay Box.
 
The EBS also features a bearing protection operation that rotates the fan motor(s) once every 24 hours in case the fan has not been operating during the previous 24-hour period.
 
The EBC 30 can be used directly with all single-phase RS, RSV, RSIB, RSIF, BESB, and BESF fans with 120VAC drives and to control three-phase 208/460VAC with a factory-programmed variable frequency drive (VFD). It is expressly designed to be used as a component in EXHAUSTO's various automated draft, exhaust, and pressure control systems: the Chimney Automation System (CASV), Modulating Combustion Air-Supply System (MCAS), Modulating Over-Draft Damper System (MODS), and the Mechanical Dryer Venting System (MDVS).
