The RS Residential Fireplace Fan from EXHAUSTO is quiet, reliable, effective, and safe. There is simply not a more effective solution to problematic fireplaces that fill the house with smoke, soot, dust, and odors, that stain ceilings and drapes, and that burn inefficiently. It can be used to correct for chimneys that are poorly designed (i.e., too short, too narrow, etc.), for fireplaces that are difficult to light (due to inadequate draft), for fireplaces in tightly built house that pull excess air in through the chimney (downdraft or back draft), or simply to improve the performance of any wood-burning fireplace.    Designed for continuous operation, year-after-year, and able to withstand intense smoke and high temperatures, the EXHAUSTO RS is essentially maintenance-free with only periodic cleaning required, depending on use. For your protection, however, the fan and the chimney should both be inspected yearly by a qualified chimney sweep.    Its cast aluminum housing is hinged for access to the motor, the blades, and the chimney. Permanently balanced stainless steel fan blades and totally enclosed motor ensure extremely quiet, vibration-free operation. Discharges horizontally (vertically if side wall mounted) at a high velocity to ensure the adequate draft.   Designed to be used with gas, wood, coal, pellets, oil, and other fuels.   A simple electronic Fan Speed Control is included with every RS fan. For added flexibility, comfort, and safety, an Exhausto EFC 211 Fan Control or an Exhausto EW 40 Wireless Control can be used in conjunction with the RS.

RS Design & Construction Advantages Extremely Quiet Completely enclosed, variable speed, heavy duty motor, with permanently lubricated and sealed bearings, uses about as much electricity as a standard incandescent light bulb and is able to handle flue temperatures up to 400°F (measured at the flue exit point).   Cast Aluminum Housing Hinged cast aluminum housing (with ten-year warranty against corrosion perforation) contains the heavy-duty motor and balanced stainless steel axial vane fan assembly and allows easy access to the chimney.   Low Maintenance Requiring only periodic cleaning for optimum performance, the RS fan is virtually maintenance free, minimizing long-term service and operating costs and enhancing reliability.   Control Options Add an EFC 211 Fan Control for the added security of an integrated alarm function that will alert you to an electrical or mechanical failure or to a blocked chimney. The EW40 Wireless Control allows remote operation up to forty feet from your fireplace and, with the addition of a temperature sensor, automatically turns on the chimney fan when a fire is lit.   Other Features Includes pre-wired junction box, basic fan speed control (FSC) and bird screen.
