Custom Hot Water Storage Tanks |
LAARS Custom Commercial Hot Water Storage Tanks are designed for systems that require the storage of very large quantities of liquids such as hot water, foods, beverages, and process water. Each tank is manufactured to your exacting needs and constructed of cold rolled steel from 10 mm to 3/8" thick. All tanks are designed for 180°F water at a maximum hydrostatic working pressure of 125 P.S.I. (150 P.S.I. by special order) and are available as bare tanks, insulated and jacketed tanks, or tanks with rigid foam insulation. |
Types Steel storage tanks are offered in three styles. Bare tanks are available in capacities from 175 to 5,695 gallons and in diameters of 30", 36", 42", and 48". Bare tanks ship with standard red oxide primer (top coats are available by special order). Jacketed and Insulated tanks are available in capacities from 240 to 1,040 and in diameters of 30", 36", 42", and 48" (plus 4" for insulation and jackets) and feature 2" high-density foam insulation with an R value of 12.5 and a sturdy heavy gauge steal jacket enameled in an exceptionally durable and easy to clean finish. Rigid Polyurethane Foam with Acrylic Topcoat tanks are available in capacities ranging from 175 to 5,695 gallons in diameters of 30", 36", 42", and 48" (plus 4" for foam insulation) and feature 2.25" of high-density polyurethane foam with an R value of 16. This is the most cost-effective method of insulating hot water storage tanks and can be applied to any tank size or shape and is field repairable. |
Features Design and construction features common to all tank styles. Glass lining provides an inert barrier of high-silica content glass chemically and mechanically bonded to the interior of the tank to provide the highest degree of resistance to corrosion; tank with two layers of glass lining are also available for an additional charge. Other features common to all tanks include: ASME construction and certification; seismic securing brackets; magnesium anode rod; two aquastat fittings; lifting lugs. |
Options Design and construction features common to all tank styles. Patented stainless steel inlet tube directs the flow of incoming water to the bottom of the tank improving thermal stratification (optional). Orientation Insulated and jacketed tanks are available for vertical installation only; bare tanks and rigid polyurethane foam insulated tanks are available either as vertical or horizontal units. Other options include: manway covers and gaskets. |
